Mike ist genervt: Schlimm genug, dass er und Molly nie Ruhe vor Victoria, Joyce und Vince haben. Inzwischen fühlt sich auch Carl bei den Flynns wie daheim, und nun wohnt dazu noch Mikes Mutter Peggy für eine Weile bei ihnen. Für Mike gibt es keine ruhige Minute mehr. Doch damit nicht genug: Bald schon könnte Molly nicht mehr da sein, um ihm Beistand zu leisten. Zu ihrer Begeisterung – und Mikes Entsetzen – wurde sie für einen achtwöchigen Schreib-Workshop in Iowa ausgewählt …
